Usually President’s Day sales commercials are filled with all kinds of red, white and blue patriotism. And while there’s certainly nothing wrong with that, we were thrilled to see Honda’s commercial for its 2013 President’s Day sale.
No Americana clichés. No cartoons.
This commercial is all about the slow jam. Not just any slow jam; a slow jam with George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and a piper. Ok, it might sound a little awkward, but it’s really funny and a very refreshing President’s Day commercial.

The 2012 Honda Civic was the best-selling car last year, but still had some critics (who were professional critics). Honda took that criticism to heart and created the 2013 Honda Civic with a mid-cycle ‘remodel.’
Honda knows there’s always room for improvement and admitted as much in its commercial, which you can see HERE.
By all accounts the newest Civic is a hit with consumers and critics alike.
“The new Civic is has an improved interior and, the bottom line is, it’s still the Civic,” said John Clough, sales manager at Northwest Honda dealership in Bellingham. “You get some of the gas mileage in the industry, the reliability of a Honda, and incredible resale value. Plus, if you want a deal, you can always check out the 2012 Civic, which was the best-selling car last year despite what some people said about.”
