We have written a couple times about how awesome the 2015 Honda Fit is, so here’s a great video that showcases some of the best qualities of the 2015 Honda Fit, including the technology that comes standard and how incredibly spacious it is. Even if you don’t think it will fit in the back…it probably will.

In our previous post we mentioned how the Honda Fit is an integral part of the Honda plan to sell 6 million units in just a few years. In essence, the Honda Fit may take over the world with it’s new options (ie the Fit EV)…or at least the Honda Civic (globally; jury is still out on if that would happen in the U.S.).
So here is a great, short article with a brief history of the Honda Fit, including some of the awards it’s won:
- Japan Car of the Year, 2001-2002 and 2007-2008
- RJC Car of the Year Award 2002
- Car and Driver’s Best small Car from 2007-2013
- Top Gear Survey 2006, Best Small Car
- Top Gear Survey 2005, Second Best out of All Cars in Survey
- MotorWeek Drivers’ Choice Awards 2007, Best Small Car
- MotorWeek Drivers’ Choice Awards 2007, Best of the Year
- U.S. News & World Report, Best Economy Car for 2008

This coming year will be a big year for Honda. Future years will be big for Honda, too, according to this article from Forbes.
How big? Honda is expecting to sell 6 million vehicles in 2017; it sold 4 million in 2012. While many of us would expect the Honda Accord and other vehicles to be key contributors, Honda is counting on the Fit taking over sales of the Civic worldwide (it is currently the top-selling car in Japan) and the new compact SUV, the Vezel, to make a big splash.
“Americans can’t seem to get enough of the compact SUVs,” said Keith Hofkamp of Sims Honda in Burlington. “And if the CR-V is any indication, Honda certainly knows what people want in their compact SUV and all the previews look fantastic, so I see no reason for the Vezel not to be a big hit. The Fit is one of the most functional and fuel efficient vehicles on the road. Many people come into the dealership thinking they’re going to get an Accord or Civic, but find that they really like the Fit.”
We are really excited about the Honda Fit and Vezel because we think it will meet a lot of people’s needs a wants in a new vehicle: functionality, space, fuel efficiency, world-class technology, and sleek design.
Look for the new Honda Fit and Vezel to arrive at Sims Honda, Northwest Honda, and Apple Valley Honda later this year.
It’s big Honda news to have the 2015 Honda Civic Type R unveiled at the Geneva Auto Show…we’re just sad that it won’t be sold in the United States.
But, that’s no reason not celebrate the “brilliance” of the 2015 Honda Civic Type R, especially because some of its components may turn up in the new Honda CR-Z.
While the look of 2015 Honda Civic Type R is certainly striking, the writers at Motor Authority were especially struck by its performance: “We recently drove a prototype, complete with Honda’s new direct-injected and turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, and found it to be absolutely brilliant. The engine also comes with Honda’s VTEC variable valve timing and should deliver at least 280 horsepower in production form.”

Have you seen pictures of the new 2015 Honda Fit? If you haven’t, you will and you won’t forget that you saw it, either.
This article poses the question about the 2015 Honda Fit, “Refreshing or Revolting?” in the title, but really the rest of the article goes on to talk about how awesome it is, including how sleek it looks. I mean, really the only thing people can talk about is how it looks because the functionality of the Honda Fit has long-been established.
What do you think? Take a look at the article and let us know if the new, sportier look of the Honda Fit has any influence on you!
Infotainment systems are becoming as important as vehicle performance and comfort. People want superior technology and access to the desired information when they want it…how they want it.
The infotainment system in the 2014 Honda Civic and in the newly unveiled 2015 Honda Fit, is exactly what consumers want: simple yet advanced.
According to this article, “Debuting at the recent Detroit Auto Show, the new Fit features a 7-inch touchscreen that lets users swipe, pinch, and tap — just like a smartphone. Instead of Honda’s old, two-screen i-MID display with jog wheel, the Fit’s infotainment system is streamlined and easy to use.”
The 2015 Honda Fit is only the second car (after the Honda Civic) to have Siri Eyes Free Integration. At the Detroit Auto Show, the infotainment “…impressed. It was quick to process and responsive to inputs. And the pinch and swipe capacity was on par with most smartphones.”
This is just one more reason to check out the 2014 Honda Civic and look forward to the 2015 Honda Fit!
We love this article that declares the 2015 Honda Fit as the secret star of the Detroit Auto Show. Surely, it wasn’t the biggest or flashiest vehicle there, but it definitely got people talking. Here’s how:
- “In a remarkable achievement in packaging, the 2015 Fit is smaller on the outside but significantly larger on the inside. Offering the interior room of a compact-size car in a subcompact body will boost Honda’s fuel economy and give it a leg up in the mileage wars.
- “The Fit represents a spirited return by Honda to its sporty small car roots with edgier styling, peppier powertrains, and greater functionality. It is the first tangible evidence that the Japanese manufacturer has shucked off its recession-driven, cheap-and-cheerful mindset and recaptured the energy that has made it the U.S.’s fourth bestselling brand.
- “When Honda starts producing the Fit in North America later this year, it will nearly quadruple the supply of available vehicles, making Fit the spearhead of Honda’s drive to boost U.S. sales.”
Not only is it smaller (but bigger at the same time), it will also have an impressive fuel efficiency of 36 mpg combined (41 highway, 33 city).
The article goes on and on about how awesome the 2015 Honda Fit is; read the whole thing to find out exactly why we should all look forward to it arriving at Apple Valley Honda, Northwest Honda, and Sims Honda dealerships!
Not very many of us get to see the official unveilings of new cars at autoshows. But someone at the Detroit Auto Show recorded the pretty pretty cool reveal of the 2015 Honda Fit for you view pleasure.
Check out the official reveal of the 2015 Honda Fit HERE.
While the quality is of someone recording it on their phone, it gives a pretty good idea of what Honda wants to express about the 2015 Honda Fit: it’s fun, it’s active, perfect for all kinds of lifestyles, and it’s got plenty of storage.
Check out the video and let us know how excited you are for the 2015 Honda Fit!
Honda revealed the 2015 Honda Fit at the Detroit Auto Show and it doesn’t disappoint. While there aren’t many surprises with the 2015 Honda Fit, “Honda Fit maintains the “less is more” philosophy of the current car while upping its fuel economy and technology quotient.
“Honda improved the gas mileage of the Honda and that’s a big deal for people,” said Tony Carter, general manager at Northwest Honda in Bellingham. “The Honda Fit already had good gas mileage, but the 2015 Honda Fit will get even better gas mileage. Combine that with it’s impressive cargo space.”
From the outside you wouldn’t expect the Honda Fit to have almost 53 cubic feet of cargo space…but it does. And we think that’s pretty impressive.
“The interior gets a complete makeover as well and is much more upscale than the current Fit’s sparsecockpit. Materials look and feel good for an entry-level hatchback, and the current Fit’s logical ergonomics don’t seem to have been compromised despite a heavy helping of new standard and optional equipment. Honda emphasizes this uptick in feature content for the 2015 Fit, with stuff like Bluetooth and a backup camera as standard, and more premium features such as pushbutton start, a sunroof, heated seats, leather, and Honda’s LaneWatch camera display as optional.”
Look for the 2015 Honda Fit in the future, but don’t forget the current Honda Fit is one of the best subcompact vehicles on the road, so stop by Northwest Honda, Sims Honda, or Apple Valley Honda today!
