Honda Odyssey Recall

Honda is voluntarily recalling some 2014 Honda Odyssey minivans because the side airbags may not deploy during a crash.

The recall involves less than 25,000 vehicles.

According to this brief, “Honda says a shorting terminal, which prevents deployment of the air bag before it’s put into the vehicle, might have been damaged during assembly. That might illuminate the air bag warning light and prevent the side curtain air bags from deploying.”

“If you have any questions about the safety of your vehicle or possible necessary repairs, please do not hesitate to contact us,” said Keith Hofkamp, general manager at Sims Honda dealership in Burlington. “Of course, any inspection and repairs related to this recall will be done free of charge to Odyssey owners.”
